General Machining

With a strong and reputable history, the team at Curran Engineering will always find a way to fulfil your needs whether it is one-off machining from drawings or samples, or a small production run. Custom machining, of course, can involve many sophisticated processes. While CNC receives the majority of the attention today, conventional machining still plays a critical role in modern machining work. A benefit that we have at Curran is that we have two Bridgeport EZ Track milling machines. These machines are 2 axis CNC which can be used as a conventional machine, with the head able to be adjusted to drill or machine angles. Also, with conventional machining you eliminate the cost of programming times. If your requirements are either of a large size or production run requirements we can facilitate.

With the use of our Surface Grinders and Cylindrical Grinder, we can obtain greater tolerances and finer surface finishes after a job has been turned or milled either conventionally, or on one of our CNC Mill or a CNC Lathe.

Our Conventional Machinery

We operate several types of conventional machinery. All of our experienced staff have years of experience on each machine so it is a great benefit to us as we can keep the majority of our work in house, reducing lead times by outsourcing parts as others may do. Our conventional machines are:
